LCI Samurai Gold team wins national championship in Rocket League

Put another notch in the win column for the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Samurai Gold esports team.

A week after winning a provincial title, the team won a national championship at the Esport Canada EDU Scholastic Invitational.

LCI won it all in Rocket League, at Canada's premier scholastic esports competition, as school teams from coast to coast battled it out.

The Samurai Gold squad outlasted École McTavish from Fort McMurray, as the two finalists ended up being Alberta-based schools.

LCI Samurai Green ended the tournament as consolation finalists.
