Several anglophone-sector educators are being recognized with 2026 Minister's Excellence in Education Awards.
The awards honour teachers, administrators and educational support workers who demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, compassion, innovation and commitment to student success.
"Congratulations to all the recipients of the Excellence in Education Awards," said Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Claire Johnson. "Each of you has made a remarkable contribution to the advancement of education in New Brunswick, and to helping the learners in your classrooms reach their full potential. Through your commitment, you continually enrich the minds of New Brunswick's future leaders, and, in so doing, you make the future brighter for all of us."
The award recipients are:
- Laura Perry, teacher (Max Aitken Academy, Anglophone North School District)
- Jennifer McGloin, teacher (Dalhousie Regional High School, Anglophone School District North)
- Heidi Jardine Stoddart, teacher (Quispamsis Middle School, Anglophone School District South)
- Jamie Murphy, teacher (Sir James Dunn Academy, Anglophone School District South)
- Kerri Titus, teacher (Harbour View High School, Anglophone School District South)
- Jennifer Bourque, teacher (Petitcodiac Regional School, Anglophone School District East)
- Marc Merhebi, principal (Dorchester Consolidated School, Anglophone School District East)
- Lindsay Fairweather, academic support teacher (Gagetown School, Anglophone School District West)
- Sylvie Michaud-Sirois, teacher (John Caldwell School, Anglophone School District West)
- Ami Morgan, teacher (Nackawic Elementary School, Anglophone School District West)
The francophone-sector awards are presented in the fall.
