Brock University welcomed more than 80 international education partners to campus on April 28 to learn more about its academic programs, student supports and global engagement priorities.

"Internationalization is not just about recruitment. It is about building meaningful, long-term relationships and ensuring that students we welcome are set up for success," said Associate Vice-President, International David Begg. "Thinking internationally, our strategic plan calls on us to celebrate our impact, unlock our potential, shape global minds and tackle global questions, together."

Throughout the day, participants attended faculty-led sessions on business in the era of artificial intelligence, academic advising in science programs, and research and innovation at Brock. Participants also met with the University's International Student Recruitment team and attended a presentation on international student services and supports.

Campus tours provided visitors with access to specialized facilities, including Engineering labs, Nursing simulation spaces and the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute.

A panel of international co-op students, moderated by CCEE, offered perspectives on student life, academic support and career pathways, reinforcing Brock's focus on experiential learning. A robotics showcase demonstrated hands-on, student-centred learning.

Anna Guo, Director of International Student Recruitment, said the event highlighted both the strength of collaboration across campus and Brock's commitment to international student success

"This event reflects what defines Brock, a strong, connected campus community working together to deliver an outstanding experience for our international students and global partners," she said.
