Yellow might just become Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School's unofficial colour.
On October 1st, the school celebrated International Walk to School Day, a world-wide event celebrating active transportation, physical activity, safer communities, and environmental sustainability.
Dressed in their brightest yellows, students, staff, and families paraded around the school block, forming a "walking school bus."
Led by Principal Jenny Frappa, the day also launched a new weekly initiative at the school. Each Wednesday, students who walk, bike, or carpool to school can swap their regular uniform shirt for their favourite yellow top.
Frappa reminded students that these small, conscious choices make a big difference. "Today, there are fewer emissions in the air because of you."
