Two members of St. Clair College's Research and Innovation department are loading onto two wheels this September for a county tour in an effort to raise funds for local research.
Research and Innovation Director Dr. Karamjeet Dhillon will be joined by Program Lead Kevin Roy to cycle 100 km around Essex County for the inaugural WE-Ride for Research.

It's a community-driven event to raise funds for general research in the local community.
But the event is more than just a ride - it's also a celebration of community and commitment to creating change.
"We are riding 100 km to show that research starts with people - connecting communities, supporting rural businesses, and making sure no story is too far to matter," said Dr. Dhillon.
The duo - supported by the Research and Innovation department - believes community-based research drives real change, from housing and healthcare to education and technology.
The ride, which is slated for Sept. 20, 2025, will raise awareness and future funding for local grassroots student-led research which responds to real community needs.
"Just like anyone can ride a bike, anyone can help shape the future of Research and Innovation," said Roy. "It all begins with ordinary people and extraordinary ideas."
