Camosun College recognized 56 instructors for outstanding teaching at its fifth annual Teaching Excellence celebration on April 28, highlighting innovative, engaging and flexible approaches that support diverse learners across the college.

Nominations came in from across the college community with students submitting the majority in recognition of instructors who made a meaningful difference in their learning experience.
"This annual celebration, which was developed by faculty for faculty, gives us the opportunity to celebrate the good work of some of our colleagues who provide the backbone for Camosun's great reputation," says Martha McAlister, Education Developer with the Dr. Lloyd Morin Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. "Especially in these difficult times, a celebration like this lifts us all up. Even under the current stresses, teachers are doing phenomenal work, and students want to give voice to that.'"
The program included a presentation of certificates.
