Seneca Polytechnic has launched a new international partnership with the American College of Higher Education (ACHE), creating more pathways for students in Sri Lanka and other countries to pursue postsecondary studies in Canada.
The agreement will allow students to complete their first year of studies at ACHE in Sri Lanka before transferring to Seneca to complete a bachelor's degree. Eligible students may transfer into Seneca's Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Computer Science programs, both offered at Seneca's Newnham Campus in Toronto.
"Seneca is recognized globally for providing students with a top-quality, tailored education that prepares them for what comes next," says David Agnew, President, Seneca Polytechnic. "Now, through this partnership with ACHE, we're expanding opportunities for students in Sri Lanka and beyond to build the skills, experience and global perspectives needed to succeed in an international workforce."
ACHE is one of Sri Lanka's leading postsecondary institutions with more than 30 years of experience in delivering postsecondary education. Guided by a commitment to serving students from different communities and backgrounds, ACHE supports a diverse student population from Sri Lanka and countries including the Maldives, India, Korea, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the Philippines, Colombia, Congo, China and Mauritius.
"Our partnership with Seneca reflects ACHE's commitment to providing Sri Lankan students with affordable access to internationally recognized Canadian education pathways," says Sherryn Yaseen, CEO & Founder, ACHE. "Through this collaboration, students can begin their studies in Sri Lanka and seamlessly progress to Canada, significantly reducing overall education and living costs while gaining globally respected qualifications, international exposure, and enhanced career opportunities."
ACHE students who take this new pathway will graduate with both a globally-recognized bachelor's degree from Seneca and a certificate of completion from ACHE. This model is designed to support affordability, mobility and academic continuity for international students.
Once at Seneca, students will benefit from experiential learning and classroom work that emphasizes practical skills and career readiness. Seneca's degree programs include work-integrated learning opportunities, and graduates will be eligible for Canada's Post-Graduation Work Permit.
This partnership builds on Seneca's approach to international collaboration with a focus on student success, global connections and workforce preparedness. Visit Seneca's international partnership page to learn more about opportunities with ACHE.
