NORTHERN LIGHTS PUBLIC SCHOOLS
NLPS celebrates student resilience and growth with new award

June 10, 2025

Northern Lights Public Schools is proud to recognize and celebrate students who demonstrate exceptional growth, perseverance and dedication in their personal and academic journeys.

This year marks the inaugural presentation of the NLPS Resilience Awards, which have been created by the Board of Trustees to honour students who have shown determination in overcoming challenges, consistent growth in work ethic and learning, and supported others through their example. Over the next few weeks, trustees will visit schools across the division to present Resilience Awards to eight outstanding students from five different schools.

"The Resilience Award reflects the strength, determination, and heart of our students," said Board Chair Karen Packard. "We are incredibly proud of these young people and their achievements. Their stories are powerful reminders of the importance of perseverance and the difference it makes - not only in their own lives, but in their school communities as well."
