LAMBTON KENT DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
LKDSB Students Making Real-World Impact through Enactus One Program

June 26, 2025

The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students participating in the Enactus One program an initiative that continues to empower youth to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

Through a dynamic partnership with Enactus Lambton College, students from across our district have been rolling up their sleeves to tackle real-world challenges with entrepreneurial spirit, compassion, and creativity.

Earlier this year, P.E. McGibbon's "Dental Heroes" program made waves by providing essential oral hygiene support to schools across the LKDSB. Now, the spotlight turns to the incredible efforts of students from Hanna Memorial Public School, led by educator Lara Sazonov, who have stepped up in remarkable ways to make a difference.

In one powerful project, Lara's class dedicated themselves to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. With empathy as their guide, they collected and distributed essential items, and raised awareness among their peers about the realities of housing insecurity. Their commitment to social change is inspiring, and a testament to what's possible when young people are given the tools and encouragement to lead with purpose.

Meanwhile, another group of Hanna Memorial students took to the shores for a large-scale cleanup of Canatara Beach a student-led initiative born out of one peer's personal project. The team's hard work not only protected the local environment but also demonstrated the strength of youth-led environmental stewardship.

The Enactus One program powered by Enactus Canada and Lambton College embodies a powerful vision: to ignite the potential of Canada's future leaders to drive positive social, environmental, and economic change. LKDSB students are rising to that challenge with passion and pride.

We commend all participating students and educators for their leadership, innovation, and unwavering commitment to building a better world one project, one act of kindness, and one bold idea at a time.
