The Halton District School Board is proud to announce that two students have been selected as Schulich Leaders, Canada's largest and most prestigious Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarship:
- Diya Kalia, Grade 12 student from Garth Webb Secondary School
- Heidi Huang, Grade 12 student from Iroquois Ridge High School

Schulich Leaders are students who have been selected by one of 20 universities to receive a scholarship worth $120,000 or $100,000 to pursue an undergraduate degree in STEM. Selected from a pool of more than 350,000 candidates across the country, Diya and Heidi are among 100 recipients to receive this scholarship in Canada.
Diya will be attending McMaster University's Engineering program and Heidi will be attending Western University for a dual degree in Computer Science (BSc) and Ivey Business Administration (HBA).
