Teachers represented by the New Brunswick Teachers' Federation have voted to accept a tentative agreement that was reached with the government on March 25.
"We are pleased that the teachers across the province have voted in favour of this new collective agreement," said Finance and Treasury Board Minister René Legacy. "Credit goes to the hard work of the negotiating teams on both sides, who worked diligently to reach an agreement that demonstrates the respect and appreciation that our teachers deserve."
The federation represents more than 7,800 teachers in the public school system, working in school districts across the province. The most recent collective agreement expired in February 2026.
Further details will be shared once the agreement has been signed, which is expected to happen next month.
