Northland School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Lemay as Acting Director of Curriculum and Learning.

Lemay brings many years of experience with Northland School Division as a teacher, school leader and Learning Coach. She most recently served as a Learning Coach, supporting staff and students across several Northland schools.
Lemay's experience with Northland School Division includes serving as Principal of Grouard Northland School and Hillview School in East Prairie Métis Settlement. She also taught at Hillview School before moving into the principal role.
Lemay's education career began in 2000 with Holy Family Catholic Regional Division. She taught at Good Shepherd School and St. Andrew's School in High Prairie, where she coordinated the school's Alberta Initiative for School Improvement project, Healthy Minds and Bodies for Student Success. Lemay later taught at Driftpile Community School for six years before joining Northland.
"Working with Northland School Division has provided me with so many amazing opportunities," said Lemay. "I have had the privilege of working with many wonderful people across the division in our schools and communities to support quality learning experiences for the children of Northland, and I look forward to continuing to do so in this new role."

Lemay holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta.
