On October 16, at the Public School Boards' Association of Alberta's (PSBAA's) Annual General Meeting, representatives from member school boards elected candidates for various executive positions to form the Board of Directors for the Association.

- Second Director: Donna Koch, Grande Prairie Public School Division
- Third Director: Tim O'Hara, Fort McMurray Public Schools

"As always, I am pleased to see so much engagement from our membership," says President Stewart. "We had several qualified candidates put their name forward. I thank each and every one of them for their passionate words about the Association and their dedication to Public School education. I look forward to the effective governance work our Board will continue to do during our time together."
Last year, the PSBAA membership approved changing the titles of First Vice President and Second Vice President to Vice President and Third Director, respectively.
The Board of Directors now welcomes Vice President Grisonich, Second Director Koch and Third Director O'Hara in their newly named roles. Vice President Grisonich continues to serve out his term, Second Director Koch was acclaimed and Third Director O'Hara won the election for the position.
President Stewart, First Director Reed-Zukowski and Director Sawyer continue their terms in the same positions.
"I'm pleased to continue supporting such a strong Association," says Second Director Koch. "In my role as chair with our PD committee, we've been working hard to enhance our professional development for our member trustees and school division senior administration. We want as many people as possible completing our fantastic modules, so they can move forward with a clearer understanding of trusteeship and how to best support student success and well-being. Our plans include the ongoing enhancement of the modules and the exploration of innovative strategies to strengthen trustee learning."
The PSBAA has a six-member Board representing 28 Public School Boards throughout the province. The PSBAA's Board of Directors meets on a regular basis throughout the year to ensure school boards receive the best value for their membership.
"I'm excited to continue working on even more benefits for PSBAA membership," says Third Director O'Hara. "We've already made some great partnerships this past year and others are in the works. With my background in student transportation and economic development, I'm happy to put these skills to good use for our members."
