UNIVERSITY OF REGINA
U of R welcomes 14 new students on full-ride Chancellor's Scholarships in Fall 2025

May 2, 2025

The University of Regina is excited to welcome fourteen new Chancellor's Scholars from across Saskatchewan and Manitoba to campus this fall. When combined with last year's inaugural recipients, this increases the total number of exceptional young Chancellor's Scholars at the U of R from 14 to 28.

"The Chancellor's Scholarship program is designed to attract high-achieving, talented students, who are passionate about building community, to the University of Regina to pursue their academic dreams and develop their leadership skills," said Pam Klein, Chancellor of the University of Regina and founder of the Chancellor's Community. "They are the leaders of tomorrow for our city, our province, and our country, and the U of R is honoured to support their journey."

Chancellor's Scholarships are worth $40,000 each and include leadership programming, academic mentoring, on-campus housing for the Scholars' first year, and more, all thanks to the vision and generosity of the Chancellor's Community members.

"When I first found out that I had won a Chancellor's Scholarship, I was in complete shock and incredibly grateful because it felt like all my hard work had truly paid off," said Felicia An, who will begin her first year in the Faculty of Science at the University of Regina. She is the 2025-2026 recipient of the Bundon-Carr Chancellor's Scholarship.

"This award will ease my family's financial stress and allow me to focus on my dream of becoming a radiologist. As I begin my journey at the U of R, I am most looking forward to continuing my hockey career with the Women's Hockey team, meeting new people, and exploring everything that the school has to offer."

An, who is graduating from Athol Murray College at Notre Dame, is an accomplished athlete in badminton, ultimate frisbee, and hockey and a leader both on and off the ice. Meet the full 2025 cohort of recipients and future leaders!

"These fourteen inspiring student leaders are already making significant contributions to their communities through their commitment to volunteering, their academic curiosity, and their high level of performance in athletics and many other endeavours," said Dr. Jeff Keshen, President of the U of R. "I am excited to see them excel in their studies at the University of Regina, serve as mentors and role models for others, and develop into the confident, community-minded leaders that our world needs for the future."

The Chancellor's Community is a philanthropic network of leaders from business, academia, and the community who are dedicated to transforming the lives of talented U of R students through education and empowering the next generation of leaders.
