The Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ms. Nedessa Reid to the dual leadership roles of Division Numeracy Coordinator and Career Education Coordinator. Ms. Reid brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a shared commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and inspiring environment for students, staff, and families.

Ms. Nedessa Reid steps into these division-wide leadership positions, bringing over two decades of educational experience. Having started with FMPSD in 2005, Ms. Reid's extensive career includes teaching junior and senior high math and science, serving as a Learning Assistance Coach (LAC) at both elementary and high school levels, and most recently, serving as Vice-Principal at Thickwood Heights Public School for the past three years. Her pedagogical expertise is further enriched by international experience, having spent six months in Malaysia and a year in India as a Learning Coach.
Ms. Reid holds a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN).
