VIU hockey team says future unclear after being asked to stop use of school branding

The Mariner\'s Hockey Club is a club team that operates independantly from the Vancouver Island University athletic department - but with an agreement to use VIU branding on their jerseys. Now, the school is hoping to end that agreement, forcing the team to rebrand or fold for the 2027-2028 season.
