April 29, 2024

The halls of Notre Dame High School are filled with pride as Allison Goodyear is declared one of the distinguished recipients of the prestigious Schulich Leaders Scholarship. Out of a staggering 300,000 candidates and 1,500 nominees shortlisted, only 100 students receive this cross-Canda award valued at $100,000. It's worth noting that this marks the second time in four years that a Notre Dame student has received the Schulich Leaders Scholarship, highlighting the school's dedication to academic excellence.

Allison, a remarkable leader since Grade 7 at Notre Dame High School, is now all set to pursue a degree program in Biotechnology at Queen's University. Principal Jean-Paul Cloutier expressed his excitement for Allison's future: "We are thrilled to see the positive impact Allison will undoubtedly make at her new academic home in the fall. Notre Dame High School has been fortunate to have a student like Allison, who demonstrated leadership and academic excellence. She has paved her way to success, earning her a scholarship and admiration from her peers and mentors."

The Schulich Leaders Scholarship is awarded to students who excel in STEM fields and show exceptional leadership qualities. Allison has received this prestigious scholarship due to her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. Principal Cloutier praised Allison, stating she is a shining example of the high calibre of students nurtured at Notre Dame High School.
