The Auto-body Repair program held at Construction Careers Regina concluded Friday, December 18th 2015 with 7 participants completing the program.
Following the program, graduates took part in a 2-week work placement at various Regina-based shops. SIIT/CCR would like to thank Universal, Comet, Brinks, Auto-Extreme, South Sask Custom, Queen City and Maaco auto-body repair shops for providing the work placements for the participants. Also, a big thanks to Len Nargang and his staff at the SGI Technology Centre for providing shop space for one of the students.
Program participants and staff were treated with a lunch to wind up the program. Elder, Harold Lavallee provided the prayer for the meal and students.
Bill Ziebart from the Saskatchewan Association of Auto Repairers presented 3-$200.00 awards from the association. Students Alfred Bear, Darren Delorme and Robert Anoskan accepted the awards for attendance, leadership and most improved student.
Four students will be employed in the industry immediately following the program with the job coaches working with the 3 remaining clients to find employment.
