Health care workers complete Applied Certificate in Home Visiting Program – Maternal Child Health

Congratulations to Charlene Lambert, Christine LeBlanc, Myrna Larry, Jennifer Knockwood, Jolena Christmas, Angela Lafford, and Mary I. Joe who this week completed the Applied Certificate in Home Visiting Program on Maternal Child Health.

The program was an opportunity for these health care workers to further their training in competencies, resilience, and strength-based practices so as to increase their skills as Home Visitors. The program, made possible through an agreement between SIIT and Health Canada Atlantic Region, took place in Halifax, Nova Scotia and ran for 3.5 days each month from September to March.

The seven new certificate holders are from the communities of Membertou First Nation, Esgenoopetitj First Nation, Eel River Bar First Nation, Eskasoni First Nation, Abegweit First Nation, and Paq'tnkek First Nation. SIIT wishes them all continued success!
