Algoma University is thrilled to announce the return of its premier summer music program under a bold new identity: The Great Lakes International Summer Music Experience (GLISME).
This refreshed and reimagined camp promises an unforgettable two-week journey for high school musicians looking to elevate their skills, build confidence, and connect with peers who share their passion for music. From July 14-27, 2025, GLISME will immerse students in intensive coaching, engaging workshops, and dynamic live performances across Sault Ste. Marie. Participants will explore pop, rock, jazz, and blues genres under the guidance of seasoned professionals, empowering them to grow as musicians and leaders.
"GLISME represents a new and exciting chapter in Algoma University's commitment to inspiring young artists," shared Matthew Warnock, Executive Director, GLISME. "This new format creates even more opportunities for students to learn, perform, and thrive in a supportive and creative environment."
Algoma University's newly revamped GLISME program offers high school musicians an immersive two-week experience with expert ensemble coaching, hands-on workshops, and live performances at top venues in Sault Ste. Marie. Thanks to generous support, all accepted students receive a 90 per cent scholarship, bringing the registration fee to just $150.
