Trent student and Prestigious Scholarship winner, Misti Noël Worden, speaks to the Trent community at this year's Last Lecture.
"I have to pay for everything myself, so winning the scholarship helped significantly. It takes a load off my mind and has given me extra time to focus on my studies. It's really allowed me to achieve my academic potential by removing that extra stressor."
As the winner of the Special Admissions Scholarship (valued at $3,750 per year), fourth-year Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student Misti Noël Worden (Otonabee) is an active member of the Trent community. She has worked in various positions throughout Trent including a don, a college ambassador, working in the Office of Student Affairs.
She is a proud member of Otonabee College, where she has been recognized for her compassion, devotion, and dedication to the life and spirit of the College.
Misti Noël was recently chosen as this year's Last Lecture student speaker, an event that serves as a send-off for graduating students. You can watch her speech here.
The Special Admissions Scholarship is awarded to 10 entering students each year who display outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievement.
