The Northwest Francophone Education Region (Conseil scolaire du Nord-Ouest No1- CSNO) is pleased to announce that the francophone daycare project at École Nouvelle Frontière has been approved as an Early Learning and Child Care Centre. This Government of Alberta pilot program offers quality child care services with maximum fees of $25 per day.
The new francophone daycare "petits boucs" will open its doors at École Nouvelle Frontière in Grande Prairie at the end of August 2018. More information on the new service and registration will be posted in the coming weeks.
This long-awaited daycare service will support Francophone families by providing accessible quality childcare service, in an environment that promotes the well-being of the child, as well as maintaining and strengthening the francophone language and culture. This new early childhood service is an essential and positive addition to the francophone community in Grande Prairie and will greatly contribute to its development.
The CSNO and École Nouvelle Frontière school community would like to thank the Alberta Government, as well as its partners: the ACFA of Grande Prairie, the Centre of newcomers, the City of Grande Prairie and the Fédération des parents francophones de l'Alberta (FPFA), for their continued support.
The CSNO is committed to sustained efforts in order to meet the educational needs of the francophone community in the Grande Prairie area.
