The Conseil scolaire du Nord-Ouest No 1 (CSNO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Dena Boucher-Moon as Principal for École Nouvelle Frontière in Grande Prairie for the 2019-2020 school year.

Originally from Jean-Côté, Alberta, and a graduate of École Héritage, Mrs. Boucher-Moon holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master's in Educational Sciences (Language and Culture) from Campus Saint-Jean (University of Alberta). In addition, Mrs. Boucher-Moon is completing a second Master's degree in Education (Numeracy) at Simon Fraser University.
Mrs. Boucher-Moon has been working in education for Grande Prairie Catholic School District since 2007: as a teacher at École St. Gérard, then as Vice-Principal from a 2015-2017. Since 2017, she has been Vice-Principal at the Faculté St. John Paul II.
Mrs. Boucher-Moon has a strong knowledge of pedagogy and her professionalism drives her to continually explore new fields of education. Her experience, leadership, organizational skills, enthusiasm, passion for learning, as well as her knowledge of the Francophone community of Grande Prairie will allow her to contribute to the development of École Nouvelle Frontière's educational program, while fostering collaboration between stakeholders for the students' wellbeing.
Mrs. Boucher-Moon says she is very happy to return to the CSNO as principal of École Nouvelle Frontière. She adds: "I look forward to working with the staff, students, parents and community and to participate in the development of Francophone education, culture and community".
Superintendent, Mrs. Brigitte Kropielnicki, is proud to welcome Mrs. Boucher-Moon, the first CSNO graduate to join the leadership team, emphasizing that under her administrative leadership, École Nouvelle Frontière will continue to progress.
Mrs. Boucher-Moon succeeds Michelle Hunter, who will take up the new position of Educational Consultant at the CSNO in September 2019.
