Featuring International Experts and the Release of the C21 Canada K–12 AI Task Force Report — 3 Years in the Making
MISSISSAUGA, ON — In a momentous milestone for Canadian education, the 16th Canadian EdTech Leadership AI Summit is set to convene the nation’s most influential education and technology leaders across K–12 and post-secondary sectors at the University of Toronto Mississauga from October 29–30, 2025 — the academic home of Dr. Geoffrey Hinton, renowned as the grandfather of modern artificial intelligence.
This year’s Summit arrives at a historic inflection point, bringing together educators, policy makers, tech leaders, researchers, and students under the theme:
“Empowering Human-Centered Sustainable Learning in an AI-Inspired World.”
Landmark Report Launch: 3 Years in the Making
A major highlight will be the official release of the C21 Canada K–12 AI Task Force Report, the culmination of three years of collaborative research, national consultations, and real-world experimentation across Canadian school districts. Developed in partnership with Dell Technologies Canada, this report outlines 21 actionable recommendations and showcases dozens of AI Use Cases already transforming classrooms and school systems coast to coast.
“This is more than a report — it’s a blueprint for scaling human-centered innovation in Canadian schools,” said Robert Martellacci, Summit Chair and Co-Founder of C21 Canada.
Largest One-Day AI Upskilling Opportunity for Educators in Canada
The Summit will also feature Canada’s largest single-day AI upskilling opportunity for K–12 teachers, as part of the highly anticipated Cross Canada Checkup Panel presented by C21 Canada and Dell Technologies. This session will spotlight district leaders from across the country sharing practical, scalable AI integration strategies already in use — from classroom co-pilots and predictive dashboards to bias-aware lesson design.
“The Canadian EdTech Leadership Summit provides a vital space for leaders, educators, and innovators to come together, share bold ideas, and shape the future of learning,” said Rashmi Swarup, Director of Education, Peel District School Board. “It is through this kind of national collaboration that we can harness AI responsibly and equitably.”
