Northern Lights Public Schools is pleased to announce that Brandon Isert has been appointed Principal of Cold Lake Junior High for the 2026-2027 school year.
"Brandon has demonstrated a commitment to creating a collaborative school environment focused on enhancing student engagement in learning," said Superintendent Rick Cusson. "Junior high is a pivotal time when students start to explore their future career and learning pathways. Brandon's experience in fostering innovative programming will be an asset in helping students connect their classroom learning to their future goals."

Isert has served as the Principal of Art Smith Aviation Academy (ASAA) for the past two years. His leadership journey in NLPS includes four years as the Principal of Learning Together Anywhere (LTA) School. He was a key member of the administration team that developed and implemented the division's online school in 2020-2021 while serving as Assistant Principal of ASAA. Prior to his roles in administration, Isert taught Grade 6 at ASAA and Grade 4 at Duclos School in Bonnyville.
"I am deeply thankful for the relationships, support, and learning I experienced during my time at Art Smith Aviation Academy, where I had the privilege of serving as a teacher and school principal," said Isert. "Those experiences have shaped my leadership, and I'm excited to carry them forward as I begin this next chapter at Cold Lake Junior High."
