The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) is proud to announce that Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School graduate, Sophia Sangiuliano, has been named a 2025 Schulich Leader, receiving a $120,000 scholarship to support her studies at Queen's University.
Each year, Schulich Leader Scholarships recognize 100 of Canada's top high school graduates who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
"Sophia's Schulich Leadership award win is a testament to her dedication, passion, and ability to inspire others. She embodies the qualities of a future leader in STEM, and we at Our Lady of the Bay are incredibly proud of her achievement," said teacher Anna Coccimiglio.
With this honour, Sophia joins a network of young Canadians driving innovation in STEM.
