Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board is celebrating an extraordinary performance by its student competitors at the Skills Ontario 2026 competition. We couldn't be prouder of our 25 competitors for their dedication and hard work in preparing for this year's events. Earning a place at Skills Ontario is an incredible achievement in itself.
This year marked a record-breaking milestone for HPEDSB, with our students bringing home a total of four medals.
- Gold: Edynn Goodland, Central Hastings School, Workplace Safety
- Silver: Kiersten Lewis, Bayside Secondary School, Welding
- Bronze: Remington Moore, Bayside Secondary School, Welding
- Bronze: Nathan Renshaw, Bayside Secondary School, Electrical Installations
A special congratulations goes to Edynn Goodland, whose gold-medal performance has earned her a spot at the national level. Edynn will be representing HPEDSB at the Skills Canada Competition at the end of May. We wish her the very best of luck as she showcases her expertise on the national stage.
