Nicole Fournier Receives the 2026 AFOCSC Award of Excellence

Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord is proud to announce that Mrs. Nicole Fournier, Vice-Chair of the School Board, received the 2026 Award of Excellence in Catholic Education, presented by the Franco-Ontarian Association of Catholic School Boards (AFOCSC) during its conference held on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Toronto.

Presented annually, this prestigious award recognizes the exceptional contribution of a Francophone Catholic school board trustee who has made a remarkable contribution to the advancement of French-language Catholic education in Ontario. Selected by her peers, the honoree stands out for her courage, perseverance, and commitment to defending the principles of French-language Catholic education, while demonstrating strong Catholic leadership.

Mrs. Fournier fully embodies these qualities! Over the years, she has distinguished herself through a constant and authentic commitment to her community, combining leadership, generosity, and a deep sense of service. Beyond her role at Franco-Nord, she has made significant contributions to the governance of Les Compagnons des francs loisirs, where her exemplary dedication and sustained volunteer work were recognized with the title of Volunteer of the Year in 2019. A true woman of action, deeply committed to the common good, she also stands out for her ability to mobilize, unite, and inspire those around her.

Whether in her professional responsibilities or her civic engagement, Mrs. Fournier also stands out for her ability to bring out the best in others and to encourage everyone's participation. Her approach, guided by the values of solidarity, generosity, and the greater good, fully reflects the spirit and mission of French-language Catholic education.
