DCDSB Students Build Confidence and Skills at Assistive Technology Summer Camp

During the week of June 29-July 3, 2026, 16 junior grade students from Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) schools, attended an Assistive Technology (AT) Summer Camp facilitated by Ms. Norris, Assistive Technology Specialist, and Ms. Ezquerra, Student Services Consultant.

Learning throughout the week included tips for using Chromebooks including the use of hot keys, accessibility features, Read&Write software, navigation of Office 365, coding, self-advocacy skills, and mindfulness.

Thanks to Miki Alexander for providing technology support and thanks to the Operations, Maintenance, and Administration Centre (OMAC) staff for sharing their space with us.
