The University of Regina is pleased to announce Cadmus Delorme, B.Admin, M.P.A, ICD.D. has been elected by University Senate to serve as the University's tenth Chancellor. His three-year term begins on July 1, 2025.

Delorme has been affiliated with the University of Regina for more than 15 years in various capacities - undergraduate student (through First Nations University of Canada), Master's student, and most recently the Chair of the Board of Governors.
In addition to his academic and professional accomplishments, Delorme is the former Chief of the Cowessess First Nation and founder of OneHoop Advisory Services where he contributes significantly to community development, economic growth, and reconciliation initiatives.
His extensive community involvement includes volunteer work with organizations such as the RCMP Heritage Centre and Eden Care Communities, as well as guiding Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #57 Professional Development throughout Canada.
"Education is foundational to building resilient, inclusive communities. I am honored to serve as the tenth Chancellor of the University of Regina," said Delorme. "I look forward to empowering
and advancing the University's continued commitment to reconciliation, innovation, and academic excellence."
The Chancellor is elected by the University of Regina Senate for a three-year term, with the possible renewal for one additional term. The position oversees the academic welfare of the institution, is a voting member of the Board of Governors, and represents the University in the community. Ceremonial duties include chairing the Spring and Fall Convocation ceremonies.

"We are confident that his leadership will further strengthen our commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and vibrant academic community, and will significantly advance the University's mission and community connections."
Current Chancellor, Pam Klein, B.A., M.Ed., Pro.Dir., completes her term on June 30, 2025. Klein leaves a lasting positive impact on the University including the introduction of the Chancellor's Scholarship, an annual fund that is awarded to 14 incoming undergraduate students each spring in the amount of $10,000 per year for up to four years.

She has served the University with distinction, commitment, and tremendous impact, for which we are profoundly grateful," Keshen added. "She has been a strong supporter of our students, faculty, and programs, and a wonderful ambassador for the University of Regina."
