George Brown College's Centre for Business has announced the redesign of three postgraduate programs with a revamped online delivery format. The Customer Relationship Marketing and Analytics, Marketing Management, and Financial Planning programs have been reimagined to provide greater accessibility for working professionals seeking to advance their careers or transition into new fields.
Education designed around professional schedules
The relaunched programs have been specifically redesigned to accommodate the needs of busy professionals who require flexible learning options that fit around their existing commitments.
"Today's business professionals need educational opportunities that align with their demanding schedules," said Dr. Eileen DeCourcy, Vice President Academic at George Brown College. "By transforming these programs into comprehensive online experiences, we're removing barriers to education and ensuring that career advancement remains accessible to those already established in the workforce."
The online format allows real-world learning from anywhere, supporting the industry's ever-evolving demands. Learners can complete these career-enhancing credentials in as little as one year, with program starts available in September and January.
Programs responding to market needs
Each program has been carefully crafted to address specific skill gaps in the current job market, with the curriculum designed in collaboration with industry experts.
The Customer Experience (Relationship) Marketing and Analytics program focuses on developing expertise in CRM practices, digital marketing technology, and AI applications. Learners gain intensive training in CRM systems, digital marketing technology, and data visualization, complemented by a work experience semester.
The Marketing Management program emphasizes data-driven marketing strategies, customer relationship management, and campaign development. Learners develop capabilities in market research, professional selling strategies, and creating customer-centric experiences that drive business growth.
The Financial Planning program prepares students to guide clients toward achieving financial and lifestyle career goals, with skills in assessing financial positions, advising on retirement and estate planning, and creating comprehensive financial plans.
"Our curriculum development process is highly responsive to industry feedback," explained John Peco, Associate Dean of the Schools of Marketing, Accounting and Finance. "We maintain constant dialogue with employers to identify emerging skills gaps, which has led us to integrate more data analytics, AI applications, and digital marketing tools into our programs. Graduates emerge with immediately applicable skills that directly address what businesses are looking for in today's competitive landscape."
Advancing careers without putting life on hold
The revamped programs share a common focus on practical, real-world learning that translates directly to workplace success. Learners benefit from instruction delivered by industry professionals who bring current insights and real-world examples into the virtual classroom.
"What sets these programs apart is their intentional design around career outcomes," added Dr. DeCourcy. "Rather than theoretical approaches, we emphasize practical applications, industry-relevant tools, and the specific competencies employers have identified as essential."
Combined with the flexible delivery format, the programs create an ideal pathway for professionals looking to advance their careers without putting their current roles on hold.
Registration is now open for the September 2025 intake, with all three programs also offering January start dates.
